Landscapes & Missions
How do I add custom levels to WWP?
Save the BMP, TIFF or JPG file into the USER\IMPORT directory in your WWP root folder. BMP files take more disk space, but JPGs can compress badly and cause colour bleeding.
How do I play on a custom landscape?
Right-click the landscape selector on the setup screen to open the custom landscape menu. The disk icon brings up the load screen - choose your level and click OK. WWP spends a few seconds formatting the image, then returns you to the options screen. Click the tick to start.
Where can I get custom landscapes?
This site has a few on the landscapes page, and there are plenty more around the net - the Worms Knowledge Base is a good hub. The best thing you can do, though, is make your own.
How do I make a custom landscape?
Use any decent paint package. The image should be 1920 × 696 pixels and can be bitmap, TIFF or JPEG (go easy on JPEG compression - save with the least compression possible). The background should be black (#000000), and be careful with black elsewhere in the image as those areas get cut away (black is where the worms move around). The easiest start is to download one of the files from this site and experiment.
Made something good? Send it in (zip it up first - nobody enjoys a 3 MB attachment!).
How do I make missions?
Save your landscape as a bitmap for use in the mission editor. Run the editor, choose the kind of mission (single-player, multiplayer, training, etc.) and click Create. From there it's a matter of experimenting to get what you want - don't forget to set how the mission ends and to give your worms weapons.
